SlaveSync can be used to synchronise a Slave VTR to a Master VTR via the RS422 serial
control ports, only the Slave speed is controlled leaving the Master playing at the
correct speed.
If it was required to transfer playout from one VTR to another during a continuous
transmission, with say part 1 on Master VTR and part 2 on Slave, the program could run the
Slave to frame sync with the Master enabling a seamless transistion.
Both the options of matching absolute timecodes and using offsets are provided, the
program can use the fine speed control provided by "Program Play" if the VTRs
support that function. |
