The date, time & duration of the required recordings are entered into a list and the program works through the items based on the PC internal clock. The list entries can be set for one off recordings or either daily/weekly repeats.

The program controls the machines via the computer serial ports, most recorders will require an external interface unit converting from RS232 found on the PC com port to RS422 used by the VTRs.

Several instances of the program can be run on one PC, so more than one recorder can be controlled.
